The operating principle
The Funicular connects the "upper town", Rue Félix Faure near Claude Monet school, with the "lower town" of Le Havre, Place Thiers.
Operating hours :
- Monday to Saturday 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.
- Sundays and public holidays 7:30 am to 7:30 pm.
The trip takes about 3 minutes.
Bicycles are permitted in the funicular, cyclists have to be able to carry them a few steps.
The Funicular does not have access for persons with reduced mobility.
Connections:
The Funicular connects directly with the regular lines:
- 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 at stop "G. Lafaurie" for the top station.
- 2 at stop "R. Coty" and 1, 3, 5 and 7 at stop "Pl. Thiers" for the bottom station.
Access conditions
The Funicular is accessible with all LiA transport network tickets.
You can also buy a ticket valid only on the Funicular but it does not allow you to connect with the other network routes:
- 1-trip Funi ticket: €0.50 payable only at Funicular turnstiles.
